Linda Kellett has over twenty year's Human Resource experience, sixteen of those with BDO Dunwoody LLP. As a Senior HR Manager, located in the Firm's National Office in Toronto, Linda provides her expertise in the areas of recruiting, compensation, performance management and project management. Linda has been responsible for the update and development of policies and procedures specific to the Firm's IT staff employed across Canada. Linda also provides project management support, both for the region and firm - which most recently has focused on the development and implementation of performance management software. In 1995 Linda completed the requirements for her Certified Administrative Management (C.A.M.) designation, and in 2002 obtained her Canadian Personnel Professional (CPP) designation which recognizes human resource management skills. Linda has participated in "Real Time Coaching" and is a member of the Canadian Management Professional Association and Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario. We would like to welcome Linda as the new Regional Director for Toronto with IPM.

Barbara Andrews-Hryniw is currently Staff Administrative Supervisor for
The City of Calgary, Recreation. As part of the Business Services'
Leadership Team, her current role is to implement and coordinate
proactive recruitment and retention initiatives and maintain a positive
and productive work environment. In addition to her Registered
Professional Recruiters designation through the Institute of
Professional Management, she has completed her Business Management
Certificate through the University of Calgary as well as the Human
Resources Certificate program. As part of the Business Services'
Leadership Team, her current role is to implement and coordinate
proactive recruitment and retention initiatives and maintain a positive
and productive work environment.

Brandi Babando is currently the Human Resources Manager for DownEast Communications in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. With a background in retail, operations and management, Brandi made the move to the human resource field in 2003. As her education background is in other fields of study, she is currently working towards her Human Resources Certificate at Saint Mary’s University, which she expects to achieve in April of 2008. In her current position, she oversees employee health and wellness, human relations, compensation and policy related initiatives, as well as taking part in facilitating Orientation and Leadership Training.

Carol-Anne Axford has been the Manager, HR Consulting at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) since May 2004. Prior to moving to NSCC, Carol-Anne spent almost 20 years working for the Nova Scotia Provincial Government. She spent approximately 17 years with the Nova Scotia Department of Justice where she provided generalist advice, facilitated and co-authored training sessions, and assisted in negotiating Collective Agreements. She also spent hree years with the Nova Scotia Public Service Commission where she classified and evaluated bargaining unit and excluded positions using a variety of classification methodologies, and monitored the provincial lay-off process.
Carol-Anne’s present responsibilities focus on providing service to leaders at the college in the areas of compensation and benefits, recruitment and selection, performance management, disability case management and position classification. She ensures that classification structures and benefits programs support the recruitment and retention of individuals, and provides advice on the application and interpretation of employment provisions for three collective agreements, the employment policy for Managerial Employees, as well as HR programs, policies and practices. Carol-Anne holds a B.A. and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University; is a Registered Professional Recruiter and is certified as a Canadian Personnel Professional.

Mary-Ann McCann is the Office Services Supervisor for Univar Canada Ltd. She holds both her CMP and RPR designations.
Mary-Ann is one of the founding members of the Edmonton Chapter of IPM. She is a dedicated, hardworking, and passionate leader with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Mary-Ann thrives in challenging environments while continually working to set new standards in excellence.
Recently, Mary-Ann has joined in a partnership in a new company called Municipal Solutions with her husband Bret. Mary-Ann’s future plans include the development of policies and procedures for the organization and she hopes to lead Municipal Solutions to great success.
| Jane McDonald, RPR, CMP - Edmonton Regional Co-Chair CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants Inc., Edmonton, AB
Jane McDonald is the Human Resources Manager for CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta. She leads a strong team of human resources professionals with responsibility for recruitment and staffing, compensation administration, performance management, training and development, and employee relations. Of her more than 35 years’ experience, Jane spent 18 years in Alberta’s active oil and gas industry, and it was in this demanding role that she made the transition from office administration to human resources. To keep pace with her rapidly increasing responsibility, Jane pursued professional development activities, earning her RPR and CHRP designations in 1999, and her CMP in 2004. She hopes to pursue her RAS Designation in 2008.

| Kate Moore, RPR - Members Quarterly Editor National Research Council Canada, Ottawa, ON
Kate Moore is currently HR Generalist for the National Research Council Canada in the Institute for Research in Construction. The Institute for Research in Construction is the leading construction research agency in Canada, developing innovative solutions for the country's largest industry. A graduate of the Business Administration program at Brock University in St. Catharines, ON, she began her career in Human Resources at the Association of Canadian Community Colleges, then worked for the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation as HR Coordinator for the Slots at Rideau Carleton Raceway. Prior to joining the National Research Council, Kate was Manager of the VHA Training and Education Centre in Ottawa.
